Lady Hornets split weekend contests

The Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets lost a close contest Friday to their host the Lingle Lady Doggers, 45-44, then hosted the Saratoga Lady Panthers and sent them packing on the losing end of a 44-38 game.

“We’re young and showed our inexperience Friday night in the first half,” coach Lindsey Forbes said of the loss. “ We dug ourselves a big hole before we started to play. We were down by 20 early in the third, but showed some grit battling back. We had some chances late in the game, but just didn’t get things to go our way. I’m really proud of the girls.”
