Burns News

Sorry to have to disappoint the Mayan Calendar that predicted the end of civilization that we know of, but we are all still here. As Friday’s dawn began sweeping across the globe, there was no sign of an apocalypse. Do you ever wonder why we fall for such nonsense? Maybe we should just live for the day and be thankful for what we have and not worry so much about will happen in the future. I know I’m very thankful for the past week’s snow storm that dropped 8 inches. We hope everyone was home when the snow began to fall on Tuesday night. I, of course, was not and had to drive home on treacherous roads from Cheyenne.

Burns Branch Library will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, and we will be back to our regular hours on the 27th. We will also be closed Jan.1.
