Hornets sting Broncs in the Hornet’s Nest

The Hornets’ Nest was the scene of the latest meeting of Pine Bluffs Hornets and Burns Broncs. The inter-district rivals kept it a tight game in the first half, with the Hornets hitting some free throws in the third quarter to pull away for a 56-50 victory.

“I thought the kids did a great job fighting through adversity during the entire,” Hornets’ head coach Will Gray said. “Kudos to Coach Patterson and his staff of players, they always play hard and physical.”

The first period ended with Burns on top 10-9. Pine Bluffs pulled ahead with a 14-11 second quarter, giving the Hornets...
