Student of the week: Carpenter Elementary

Angel Chavez is a very bright eyed, quiet second grader at Carpenter elementary. Angel had been home sick for the past two weeks, and was surprised when principal Laurie Bahl came to talk to him. Angel’s eyes got as big as a full moon when Bahl explained he was selected as the student of the week.

“He has worked so hard at school and is being very successful,” said Bahl. “He achieved his reading goal for the year already, and he is a true example of hard work pays off!”
