The Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets just can’t catch a break. On Friday, they opened the Hornet’s Nest to the Kimball Lady Longhorns and were defeated 36-55. Playing host to the Lingle Lady Doggers was no better as the Lady Hornets came out on the losing end of a 32-55 score.

Sam Hanson and Andrea Baker did their best to lead the Lady Hornets toward a victory, as each put 10 points on the board. Jesi Zitek and Bailey Curtis each contributed five points to the effort, while Austin Asay, Brooke Darden, and Jaden Ragsdale each added two.

Asay was a perfect 2/2 at the charity stripe. Baker hit two of three and Curtis went 1/2.

On Saturday, Baker and Curtis led the team with seven points each. Dana Mullins added five and Zitek and Hanson tacked on four apiece. Darden and Ragsdale added two each and Asay hit one of her two free throws to complete the scoring. Curtis was also 1/2 in free throws. Mullins was 1/1 from the line, and Zitek connected two of her eight attempts.

The team hits the road Friday and Saturday for contests in Saratoga and Leyton.
