Community Calendar

Items for possible inclusion in the weekly community calendar should be typewritten or legibly printed. All submissions should include the name and daytime telephone number of the person submitting the information in case questions arise.

Items which may be included in the calendar are church events, club meetings, and school events.

If your club will not be meeting or has a change, please contact us so we can update the calendar with the correct information as soon as possible.

Items should be received on Monday at 5 p.m., one week prior to the date they will appear in the calendar. They may be faxed to 307-245-3325, e-mailed to [email protected], mailed to Pine Bluffs Post, P.O. Box 68, Pine Bluffs, WY 82082, or dropped off at the Post’s office located at 201 E. 2nd St.

Fun for Kids

Fun for Kids — Lost & Found will be presented for preschoolers at the Pine Bluffs Branch Library at 10 a.m.

Serenity Al-anon

Pine Bluffs Serenity Al-Anon meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. at United Methodist Church. Use the east door. All are welcome.

Overeaters Anonymous meets at the First Christian Church, 219 West 27th St., Cheyenne, at 5:30 p.m.

CLA

Clutterers Anonymous meets at Recover Wyoming, 512 E. Lincolnway, Cheyenne, at 7 p.m

Friday, February 8

High school sports

Pawnee basketball teams will host Prairie. Pine Bluffs teams will travel to Potter-Dix. The wrestling team will compete in the Carbon County Invite in Hanna. Burns will play a make-up game at Southeast.

Pine Bluffs AA meets at 7 p.m. at United Methodist Church. Use the east door. All are welcome.

Saturday, February 9

Coffee club

Burns Coffee Club enjoys coffee, cinnamon rolls and conversation with friends and neighbors from 8 to 11 a.m. at 130 Main St. in Burns.

Valentine Bingo

Love Bingo? Here’s a new twist on the game just for Valentine’s Day. Win prizes and eat snacks at the Pine Bluff Branch Library. This activity is for students in kindergarten through sixth grade and takes place from 10 to 11 a.m.

High school sports

Sunday, February 10

Poetry workshop

Sisters Grimm will host a poetry writing workshop with Deb and Tim Nolting from 2 to 4 p.m. The cost is $20 per person, and the workshop is limited to 10 people. Afterwards they will have a craft session and make old fashioned Valentine cards — feel free to stick around after the workshop (or you can just come for the crafts if you are unable to attend the earlier session). Burns’ basketball teams will play make-up games at Wright.

Burns council

Burns Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. at the Burns-Plex.

LCSD2 board

The Laramie County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at Pine Bluffs at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, February 12

High school sports

Pine Bluffs varsity basketball teams will play a make-up game at Guernsey. Girls will play at 4 p.m. and boys to follow at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 13

Health fair

Wyoming Health Fair will be at Carpenter Elementary School from noon to 2 p.m.
