Pawnee Coyote basketball teams victorious, head to regionals

Taking two wins and a loss in neutral playoff games last week, the Pawnee Coyotes now head into regional action at Sterling, Colo. this weekend. The first round of district play Tuesday, Feb. 26 ended with a 63-45 Coyote victory over Weldon Valley. On Thursday, Pawnee lost to Caliche 59-82. They followed with their second win, this one over Peetz by a score of 63-54.

Coyote head coach Tim Brunelle said his squad did a good job of pressuring the ball and caused a lot of turnovers throughout the game with Weldon Valley.
