"Slammed" by a professional poet

Award Winning Slam Poet Jovan Mays from Aurora, Colorado, visits with English classes about his craft. Students listened to one of Jovan’s poems, learned about slam poetry, viewed other slam poets and analyzed their work, and wrote from prompts. Mays visited Burns High School Thursday, Feb. 28.
