Burns FCCLA assists area families

The Burns chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America received more than gold medals at the state convention in Cheyenne which was held March 19-22. They also brought home 60 boxes of food and commodities and Avon product boxes. The chapter donated the boxes to Carpenter elementary, Burns elementary and Burns high for distribution to needy families.

“Each box can feed a family of four for one week,”explained Burns chapter advisor Stephanie Keigley. “We also have boxes of toilet paper and household essential items and personal hygiene items such as perfume and make-up.�...
