Burns girls take first at SEWAC track and field meet

Burns and Pine Bluffs girls race to the finish during last week’s Pine Bluffs Invite. The teams will compete at Class 2A Regionals this weekend at Gillette. Additional photos are from the Pine Bluffs meet.

Facing a post-season without much of a regular season, the Burns Lady Broncs came away the winners of the SEWAC track and field meet at Lusk last weekend. The Burns Broncs took third. Pine Bluffs Hornets placed fourth in the team standing and the Lady Hornets took fifth. That doesn’t mean the meet was without some standout performances by all four teams.

“It was a nice cool day and the Burns girls team took advantage and had a number of solid performances,” said coach Brooks Hoffman.
