Matthews battles to dual victories in Douglas

Although she had never been to the Douglas motocross track before, Cheyenne Matthews went ready to win last Sunday and that is exactly what she did.

The competition was fierce, but Matthews pulled the Hole Shot in the first moto and leapt into the lead. She was able to hold the lead for two laps, but went wide on a corner allowing another racer to slip by on the inside. Matthews stayed right in the throttle and forced the other rider to make a mistake to reclaim the lead position and the checkered flag for the win.
