Chill in the air can't stop the Trail Days Teen Rodeo

Over 100 contestants ages 4 through 18 competed in the Trail Days Rodeo on Saturday. Despite the chilly weather, organizers called it a fantastic turnout. The youngest cowboys and cowgirls did some sheep and calf riding. Junior boys and girls under the age of 14 participated in steer riding, goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping, barrel race and poles.

The senior boys rode the bulls and saddle and bareback broncs, and competed in tie down calf roping and team roping. The senior girls showed their skill in the competition in breakaway roping, goat tying, barrels and pole bending and tea...
