Bivens celebrating 90th birthday

Boyd Bivins will be celebrating his 90th birthday this month.

Boyd was born Aug. 21, 1923, to Raymond N. and Mable (Hyatt) Bivens in Fairmont, Fillmore County, Neb. He graduated from Exeter High School in Nebraska and served in the South Pacific during World War II. Upon his discharge from the Army, Boyd lived in the Grover, Colo., area, where he met and married Lillian Timm. They later moved to LaSalle, Colo., where he retired from Valley School District RE1.
