Don’t forget Bushnell Day this Saturday! The Old-Timer’s Storytelling session starts at 9 a.m. at The Sisters Grimm. Next, the parade will line up in front of the bookstore and wind its way around to the park. Then we have entertainment, food, and vendors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Finally, we will dedicate the commemorative Lincoln Highway marker down by the village sign at about 1:30 p.m. And those of you who want to stick around are welcome to stay for the Family Night potluck at the community center at 6 p.m.

The Green Valley Homesteaders are this year’s performers. And the church is holding a hamburger feed and pie social — $5 for a burger meal and donations for dessert.

The bookstore is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You’re also welcome to make an appointment to visit at another time, provided we can arrange for someone to be here.

Johnson’s Surplus is still open on Sundays. Stop in to see what new items they have in the store!
