Joseph R. Culek

Joseph R. Culek, 89, of Kimball, Neb., died at Heritage Estates in Gering, Neb., on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013.

Joseph Rudolph Culek was born in Abie, Neb., on March 16, 1924, the son of Josef and Marie (Kolar) Culek. He moved with his family to western Nebraska and received his early education at District 27 and then attended Pine Bluffs High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944 and served his country during WWII.
