Cross country team does well on Casper Mountain


On a very hot and dry day on Casper Mountain the girls and boys varsity teams from the combined Burns/Pine Bluffs squad ran their first cross country race of the year.

“In a field of runners made up of mostly 4A schools from around the state both boys and girls teams ran very well,” coach Dustin Lee said.

Early in the girls race the top local runners went out and finished strong. Austin Asay finished seventh, Celeste Morales placed 17th.

“Our remaining runners of Celeste Jackson, Sam Hanson, Kelsey Faircloth, Rylee Anderson and Cianna Schofield all posted good first race times,”...
