Pawnee Coyotes open with loss to Briggsdale Falcons

 


A 20-46 loss is in the books for Pawnee’s Coyotes after the Briggsdale Falcons proved unhospitable hosts Friday night.

“We had six turnovers which makes it pretty hard to get any momentum going,” said Pawnee head coach Doug Miller. “There were not a lot of bright spots but it was the first high school game for six of the players. Freshmen Joe Sanders did a good job at defensive end.”

The game got off to a rocky start with the Falcons scoring 16 points in the first quarter and the Coyotes not able to introduce themselves to the end zone. Pawnee hit pay dirt in the second stanza...
