Lady Hornets raise money but fall in ranks

The Lady Hornets were without a key player on the court Thursday night. Andrea Baker received a kidney donation Sept. 12 and will be out the rest of the season.

“Andrea Baker, our all-conference middle hitter, received a kidney transplant last Thursday in Denver and so we are looking to all of our girls to step up and fill that void,”explained coach Christina Nusbaum.

But Kimball proved to be too much for the team to overcome. The Lady Hornets lost in three sets, 21-25, 12-25, 13-25.

“Kimball was a great team; they passed the ball well and ran a quicker offense,” Nusbaum said. ...
