Broncs trampled over trickery

Burns Broncs traveled to Newcastle last Friday on the momentum of a winning season. The long bus ride didn’t deter the boys from coming out and limiting the tough and well coached Dogies to 19 points.

Noah Taylor and Mikky Heward both had interceptions during the contest. Heward also came up with a take-away from a Dogies receiver and ran it back for a big gain.

The Broncs were subject to some original lineups from the Dogies special teams and offense. At one point, the offense had two “quarterbacks” behind center. It seemed the big beefy team from Newcastle didn’t expect Burns to...
