Hornets keep it close

Preston Thurin pulls a defender down field to pick up yards as Nick Bymer blocks another Natrona defender. The Hornets lost 13-8 but Thurin had a successful afternoon with 186 yards rushing.

The Pine Bluffs Hornets hosted Natrona County Saturday afternoon and kept up with the large squad from Casper.

Youthful mistakes robbed the Hornets once again of the taste of victory and they lost 8-13. Even with the dismal season, Pine Bluffs isn’t mathematically out of the playoff picture yet. With a win in Sundance Friday, the Hornets could extend their season.
