Little Hornets and Colts stomp out sting of season

Little Hornets Coach Brett Steger and Burns Colts Coach Rick Lakin met on the Pine Bluffs football field before their last game of the season Saturday morning. But the two coaches weren't competitive against each other, they were rallying against a common opponent.

They were feeling the sting of a season peppered with drama from the Torrington League both teams joined this year.

"We're just burnt out over this season," Steger said. "There was so much drama for us and the players. Rick and I are looking at some options to form our own Tri-State league here."
