Pawnee struggled at tournament

The Lady Coyotes traveled to Sterling to participate in the 1A North Center district volleyball tournament at Nothereaster Junior College Tuesday.

Pawnee met Briggsdale first and decisively won the match 3-1. Just a few hours later, the Lady Coyotes protected their side of the net against Fleming. The Lady Wildcats wasted no time and drove the Lady Coyotes out in three sets, 25-16, 25-9, 235-22.

In the final game of the day, Pawnee met the strong Weldon Valley and had nothing left to give, losing in three sets, 25-17, 25-19, 25-16.
