Tough start for young Lady Coyotes

The Lady Coyotes traveled to Highland High School for the Canine Classic Tournament to start its season.

Head Coach Samantha Ramos is in her first year of coaching the girls. Given the experience she can draw on from seniors Emily Ellis and Afton Zitek, Ramos shouldn’t struggle all season long.

The first game ended as a loss for the Lady Coyotes against Frontier Academy, 39-52. Pawnee hit the courts again Friday against University, and showed Ramos how the Lady Coyotes usually play basketball. They decisively beat University 26-49.
