Getting papers to customers brings satisfaction

I get a lot of satisfaction out of writing.

I like gathering information and flowing it into what will hopefully become a nice narrative, news story or whatever I am writing.

But the most satisfaction I get out of writing is watching a project all come together.

The first newspaper job I had was at a small daily in Rawlins. My beat was the Rawlins area and the Rawlins Town Council. All I was ever required to do was write stories daily and hand them to my editor.

After that stage, I left for the day, never wondering how my stories got on the page, or the production side of things.
