In a family-driven state like Wyoming, it is not unheard of for someone to step back from their work to care for family. Even more understandable for a mother to care for an ill child.

So when Wyoming Republican Senate candidate Liz Cheney cited “serious health issues” in her family, at face value, it seemed the right “Wyoming” thing to do.
