Student of the week: Josiah Clark

Third-grader Josiah Clark at Carpenter Elementary School says his favorite subject is reading, and likes to entice himself with adventure novels.

"I really like adventure stuff, like the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings," he said.

Many may think those materials are too advanced for a third grader, but not for Josiah, who claims he can read at an eighth-grade level.

Josiah's teacher, Amber Imel, said it's hard to determine what grade level he can read at, but confirmed he can read at a much higher level.
