Lady Broncs start year with a battle

 


The Lady Broncs brought experience, preparation and confidence to Yoder for its first conference game of the new year Saturday afternoon. However, winning didn’t come out of the bag they packed for the Southeast Lady Cyclones.

“The game was very physical,” Coach Barry Ward said. “We just didn’t execute on offense well enough to win the game.”

In the first half, Burns played both sides of the ball well and pulled ahead of Southeast by two. The second half held less net time for the Lady Broncs, losing 48-53. Free throw percentage was 64 percent due to Jessica Malm and Chelsea En...
