Athlete of the week: Malli Oneal

Burns High seventh grader Malli O'Neal strolls up to the table a bit winded.

"I am sorry I am not dressed better," she says smiling. "We are being tested in health to see how many exercises we can do. I am above average so I guess I am okay."

Malli, daughter of Ryan and Tracy O'Neal, is as solid in athleticism as she is in courtesy. She participates in volleyball, basketball, rodeo and track. Malli looks forward to running sprints for the track team this spring.

"I would like to try the pole vault," Malli says apprehensively. "I would be afraid to fall, but it looks fun."
