Pawnee pulls off close game

Game play for the Pawnee Coyotes was up and down last week with a win and a loss.

The Coyotes faced off against Weldon Valley Friday, beating the team 50-46. Coach Tim Brunelle said defense was the key to this close game.

“We kept their shooters under pressure, and then crashed the boards and got rebounds,” he said.

The Coyotes were down 1 point with less than a minute on the clock, Brunelle said, but was still able to pull out with a win.

“It was a game where we were up, then down, back up, then down one with less than a minute to go,” he said.
