Blood draw comes to Burns, Carpenter

Two Wyoming Health Fair Blood Draws will take place in Carpenter and Burns later this month.

The first blood draw will take place 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Feb. 13 at the Carpenter Elementary School Library. The other will be held 7 a.m.-9 a.m.Feb. 20 at the Burns High School.

Laramie County School District 2 Nurse Pam Shults, who organized the blood draws, said low-cost tests will be available to anyone who participates in the blood draws. Tests can range in pricing between $30 and $40, depending on the test. Scults said these tests are reduced in price.

Anyone who participates will be able to see their results online the day after the draw. People who do not have internet access can choose to have their results mailed.

“I think this is a very nice service because we can reach the local community this way,” Scults said.
