Art of Marriage

When you were standing at the altar reciting your marriage vows, did you have any idea that marriage would be so complex? It probably didn’t take you long to understand that your spouse is not as much like you as you thought or that your expectations didn’t become reality.

Marriage is more like artwork than a mathematical equation. And like any art form, it requires an investment of time, focused study and the right tools. If you need to soften some of the edges in your relationship, or want to brighten the landscape of your marriage, or you are curious as to what a biblical marriage looks like, then The Art of Marriage Video Event is for you.

This event allows you to experience God’s design for marriage through expert teaching, engaging stories, real-life testimonies and humorous vignettes.

The event is open to anyone wanting to learn more about God’s design marriage, whether already married, engaged, or a single person contemplating marriage. Those who attend the event will not be asked to share anything about themselves, be asked questions, or asked to participate in any group activities. It is designed for you to interact with the materials and your spouse or significant other.

This event also does not provide counseling. The six sessions are Love Happens: God’s Purpose and Plan, Love Fades: Overcoming Isolation, Love Dances: Fulfilling Our Responsibilities, Love Interrupted: Communication and Conflict, Love Sizzles: Experiencing Real Intimacy and Love Always: Leaving a Lasting Legacy.

For more information on the event scheduled for Friday, March 14 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., contact Vickie Schinzel at 307-640-3411. The event is sponsored by Pine Bluffs Baptist Church, but is a non-denominational event and will be held at the Pine Bluffs Historic High School at 512 Maple Street; Pine Bluffs, WY.
