Senior night for wrestlers

Senior Cecil Brockman waits for the whistle. Brockman and the other seniors were honored at the Burns meet hosting South.

The home meet for the Burns/Pine Bluffs wrestlers brought the South Bison to the mats Thursday night.

Six seniors along with their parents were honored as the evening started. Coach Dan Clayson hoped the match would bring some worthy opposition for the grapplers. Although Burns lost the meet, 52.0 to 23.0, the parents and fans of Burns/Pine Bluffs were happy to see wrestling without driving a long distance.

The grapplers traveled to Mitchell Saturday for a meet but no results were available at press time. Next up for the mat warriors is a dual at Southeast on Saturday.
