Legislative Update

In the first week of the Wyoming Legislative session, decision makers worked on the biennium budget as well as numerous bills.

Representative John Eklund sponsored HB 111, "An Act relating to school safety and security; allowing possession of firearms by school district employees on school property; providing rule-making authority to school districts; making conforming amendments; and providing for an effective date." The gun, Eklund explained, would be kept in a lock box. The bill was introduced and referred to the Education committee.
