Pine Bluffs resident takes third in national wool sewing competition

Pine Bluffs resident Nicole Macy, 24, experienced her most successful year in the National Make it with Wool competition, placing third in her division.

After winning in the regional and state Make it with Wool competitions, Macy earned her way to nationals for the fourth time since she began competing at age 13.

Macy's wool outfit, a skirt, jacket and coat combination, earned recognition at the competition, held on Jan. 25, 2014 in Charleston, S.C., and a third-place prize in the junior division, plus second place for a mo hair project. Macy said it has been her most successful year yet.
