Pine Bluffs Lions honors Deane Skinner

On March 4, 2014 the Pine Bluffs LIONS Club honored Deane Skinner with the presentation of a Melvin Jones Fellow. The Melvin Jones Fellow is the highest honor bestowed on a Lion and named in the honor of the founder of LIONS Club. It is awarded by the local club to show appreciation for dedicated humanitarian service of a deserving Lion member. Past District Governor, David Orr, was present to honor Skinner with the Melvin Jones Fellow. Also in attendance was his wife, Kathy, and daughter, Sarah.

Skinner has been an active member of the Pine Bluffs LIONS Club for 28 years. During that time he has served as Club President for three terms: 1994-1995, 2008-2009 and 2012-2013. The last time he served as president he led the club through its 90th Anniversary celebration.

Skinner has served as club secretary for more than 10 years. Skinner has served faithfully over the years with his thoughtful and caring manner, which has helped make and keep the Pine Bluffs LIONS Club a great service organization.
