Texas Trail Ringnecks host first Predator Derby

Pheasants Forever Pine Bluffs chapter celebrated with a banquet Saturday evening after hosting its first Predator Derby held Friday and Saturday.

Dean Bowman, youth advisor for the Texas Trail Ringnecks deemed the first event a success and hopes to help organize the event for next year as well.

Bowman said 17 two-man teams entered the competition.

The teams hunted predators in various hunt areas in the tri-state area, looking to beat the competition, and bring home the grand prize, $212.50.
