This is a full week for the school children. On Friday, May 16 the fourth grade class will take the second half of their Wyoming History Field Trip to Ft. Laramie. On Sunday, May 18 at 1 p.m., Burns High School graduation will take place at Burns High School gym.

On Monday, May 19 from 8:05 a.m. To 2:25 p.m. the kindergarteners will go on their trip to the Denver Zoo.

On Tuesday, May 20 from 8:05a.m. – Noon Grades K-3 will attend “A Day in the Wild” in Pine Bluffs. And on Wednesday, May 21 from 8:05AM – Noon Grades 4-6 will attend “A Day in the Wild” in Pine Bluffs. And Friday, May 23 is the last day of school and early dismissal.

We are getting very excited for the Summer Reading Celebration at the Burns Branch Library! Our theme this year is Spark Your Imagination. The kick-off is Friday, May 23, the first day to sign up, and we have a special treat planned for you. All ages can participate. All children who finish Summer Reading Celebration will receive a free book as a final prize and there is a neat prize for adults who finish.

Be creative! Grades PreK- 5 come join us at the Burns Branch Library on Tuesday, June 3, at 10AM to make Salt Art. We’ll give you the glue, salt and food coloring and you’ll be the artist.

Every Friday in June at 1 p.m. we will be showing family movies. See you at the library!
