13 Hornets fly to state track and field tournament in Casper

The Lady Hornets took second place overall at regionals in Torrington this weekend with 97.50 points, with the Hornets taking fifth place overall with 62 points.

The Lady Hornets placed just above Niobrara County (94.50) and came short of the first place spot with Big Horn taking it (114). The Hornets beat out Tongue River (54) but came up short for the fourth-place spot, taken by Saratoga (81.50). Lingle-Fort Laramie's boys track team took first in the 2-A regional competition with 186 points overall.
