Students bite into healthy snacks

The Pine Bluffs Elementary School will continue to expose its student to a variety of fruits and vegetables.

The Wyoming Department of Education announced 146 elementary schools have been selected to receive the U.S. Department of Agriculture Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant for school year 2014-15. This grant will have an impact on approximately 36,109 Wyoming elementary school kids. It will mark the fifth year the Pine Bluffs Elementary School has received the grant.

The students are served one fruit and one vegetable, which rotate, on Wednesdays and Fridays, each week. According to Kelly...
