Canadian cowboy ropes first place in calf roping

Double Bar G held its second rodeo on Friday night and the rain did not stop cowboys and cowgirls from having fun.

One cowboy who wouldn't let the rain stop him from competing was Logan Young. He competed in team roping and calf roping. He didn't receive a time for team roping. However, Young and his horse, Clutch, did receive a 14.3 for calf roping.

"There's all kinds of events but my favorite is roping," Young said.

Young said he has always lived on a ranch and grew up roping. He said it's part of the heritage of the western life. Young is from Canada. He lives in Laramie and rodeos at...
