'A symbol of hope'

Simple lawn-cut ribbon inspires hope in Pine Bluffs community.

Pine Bluffs resident Jeff Bruckner didn't intend for the heart and ribbon he cut into the grass to become a symbol of hope, but his work inspired a whole community.

Bruckner carved the two symbols into the grass, viewable from Cemetery Road south of Pine Bluffs, several weeks ago. The heart represents 35 years with his wife, Sandy Bruckner, he said. Bruckner cut the heart before, about two years ago. However, the the ribbon, which has been an inspiration for many, is a new creation, Bruckner said.
