A Pea Pod of history with dinner

What does Wrigley’s Gum, the Pied Piper, the Beatles and Elvis have in common? Funny you should ask. June 26 was the first time the Universal Product Code was scanned on a pack of gum in Troy, OH. History says that the Pied Piper actually lured 130 children away from Hamelin on this date in 1284. What he did with them is still a mystery. And the Beatles released their album, “A Hard Day’s Night.” Not to be overlooked, Elvis Presley performed publicly for the last time in Indianapolis, IN.

A lot of history to pack in an early summer day. Maybe the sun and the fun is making your cook...
