For the special this week at the Hereford Community Church Amy and Renee Martin sang “I Surrender All.” The sermon title was “Where’s Timbuktu?” Timbuktu is a city of 32,000 people in Mali, Africa. It was the center of Islam for trade and scholarship from 1300 until 1800 when the French took control. It would not be a place where Christians are welcome. Before Jesus was taken up into heaven, he gave commandment for his followers to take the gospel to all people. Missions are in God’s heart. God wants everyone to know the truth about Jesus.
