The 86th Albin Day kicked off Saturday morning with breakfast, just as any day begins, sponsored by the FFA. But the festivities soon escalated with what very well may be the first ever Miss America appearance in the history of Albin.

Teresa Scanlan, who was Miss America in 2011, stopped in Albin Saturday to experience the fun. She first assisted Albin Mayor Kelly Karkow with the ribbon cutting for the grand opening of the Albin Museum.
