Cross county team shines during invite

The Pine Bluffs and Burns cross country team ran against nine other schools at the Leroy Sprague Invite in Cheyenne last Friday.

During the boys’ varsity 5K event, Jorge Garcia placed 28th in the field of 77 with a time of 18:25. Wyatt Norman finished in 20:52 and Tyler Norris crossed the line in 22:18.

Kelsey Faircloth was the top finisher in the girls’ varsity 5K run with a season-best time of 22:22. This placed her 31st among 75 competitors. Matison Mikesell followed her with a time of 22.29.
