Kids dance, sing to learn an Australian culture

Pine Bluffs Elementary students were treated to some Aboriginal wisdom Thursday night.

Paul Taylor, Australian story teller, helped the kids understand the Australian Aborigine language and lessons through songs, dance and stories. Even though Taylor himself is not Aborigine, his teacher of 20 years, Yidumduma Bill Harney, is a senior Aboriginal Elder of the Yubulyawan clan of the Wardaman people.

Taylor told the students Australia was the last country to be colonized and Aborigine is the one of the oldest living culture heritages in the world. In the Aborigine community, the grandparents...
