To kick off Pine Bluffs' Christmas at Home, the Laramie County Fire District No. 5 helped fill stomachs with a warm meal Monday night at the Community Center.

Estella and Rick Wagner were the head cooks for the Pine Bluffs Christmas at Home Laramie County Fire District No. 5 Chili Feed.

Guests had the options of red chili, green chili or chicken noodle soup. A grilled cheese sandwich and tortilla were served on the side. Subway donated cinnamon rolls to have as a side dish or dessert.

The money raised at the chili feed goes to Fire District No. 5 and will be used for fire prevention and public relations.

Donations were also made towards the Shop With a Hero program. This program is designed to help less fortunate kids in the community. Children are paired with a local hero and are given money to be spent on clothes and whatever they and their family needs.

The Fire District No. 5 has served chili every year since the first Christmas at Home. On average, they serve 250 to 350 guests.
