January started off on a positive note, reporting that the Pine Bluffs Boys’ Basketball team, the Hornets, beat first Lingle, and then Saratoga, in Pine Bluffs and Saratoga respectively.

Alison Mickelson was also named the first Student of the Week for the New Year.

Mechanical Systems, Inc. (MSI) finished the water distribution project, which involved laying 5,000 feet of water main throughout Pine Bluffs, and began in August 2011.
