Pawnee School District anticipating May date for new construction groundbreaking



The Pawnee School District looks to expand their school with the above proposed addition. The district is hoping the groundbreaking will take place in May.

It took a couple of years of thoroughly researching what the most important needs of the Pawnee School District needs, in terms of space, upgrades, and increased security for school students, before the school board put a bond issue before the voters. But the board's patience and due diligence paid off when voters approved a $4.5 million bond issue, which will be paid off over a period of five years, instead of the normal 20 or 30 years, last year.

Superintendent Bret Robinson, who wears many hats in the tiny school district of less than 100 students, said he and the board are really excite...
