Case remains cold after jury's verdict


[Editor’s Note: This story is about a young woman, Sharon Reher, who lived the first 20 years of her life in Pine Bluffs, and was brutally raped and murdered shortly after moving to Laramie. With the trial’s final verdict, this remains a cold case.}

On Monday, Feb. 2, the trial for Lance David Bean, 61, of Albany County, began, who is accused of raping and murdering a Laramie woman nearly 43 years ago. Bean was charged with first degree murder of 20-year-old Laramie resident Sharon Reher, who was found dead in her home in April 1972, following a party at her residence.
